Intimate Wedding at a 1960’s house in Barton Springs

Some wedding days unfold quietly, with simplicity and intention at the center—and Zack and Marcia’s was exactly that. I first met them when Zack proposed, and photographing their elopement felt like coming full circle. They chose to exchange vows at a cozy 1960s Airbnb tucked in the heart of the Barton Springs neighborhood, surrounded only by their parents and siblings.

The day was rainy in the soft, romantic way Austin sometimes offers—misty, slow, and perfect for staying tucked inside together. The house felt warm and lived-in, full of gentle chatter, quiet nerves, and the excitement that comes with choosing an intimate celebration over anything big or traditional.

Watching Zack and Marcia move through their day was a reminder of what weddings are really about: connection, family, and the little moments that don’t need an audience. Their ceremony was heartfelt and personal, full of stolen glances and teary smiles, and the kind of joy that fills a room even when only a few people are in it.

After the ceremony, we wandered around the property for portraits, letting the overcast light and passing rain guide the moment. Everything about the day felt natural—no rush, no noise, just two people fully present with each other and the people who matter most to them.

It was such an honor to photograph the proposal that started this chapter and the intimate elopement that followed. Zack and Marcia’s day was sweet, simple, and beautifully theirs—exactly the kind of love story I feel lucky to document.
