From Start to Finish

The Process

My process has been refined over years of serving clients to prioritize open communication, thoughtful personalization, and a collaborative approach. I want to make sure you feel supported and satisfied every step of the way.

Step One

Schedule your Session

In order to book your session, we will need a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer that goes towards your session fee. You will receive all of your paperwork through Session where you can e-sign and pay online.

Step Two

Plan the Shoot

We will schedule an optional 15-30 minute consultation over Zoom about 1 week before your session to get introduced to one another. This is a great time to go over logistics, tips and tricks, wardrobe, and answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to reach out with any questions before or after the consultation.

Step Three

Select your Photos

Within 48 hours of the session, you will receive a proofing gallery. This gallery contains unedited watermarked images that you will use to select your final photos. The photos you select will be edited and provided to you for download within 14 days of you confirming your selections with me.

Editing

Clean, Polished Photos for Every Occasion

Your memories should feel effortless and natural. Polished doesn’t mean artificial. My editing approach highlights your natural beauty, cleans up distractions, and preserves authentic colors — giving you images that feel both elevated and real.

Skin Retouching

Pimples happen, don’t let it stress you out. I go through each image and make sure to remove blemishes, bruises, and dark circles to ensure natural looking skin.

True to Life Colors

I edit for true to life colors to achieve a classic, timeless look. Trendy edits can date your image so enhancing what we naturally capture is the best way to ensure longevity.

Background Clean-up

We can’t always control what’s happening in the background of our image - especially when shooting in public spaces. I make sure to clean up scuffs, debris, and people in the background.

Let’s cover some frequently asked questions…

“I got my senior pictures taken by Komal this last spring and I could not have had a better experience! She sat down with me before the shoot and helped come up with the best plan to fit all of my desired locations during my time slot. I also requested to take pictures with my family and Komal was very accommodating. She did a great job helping me pose, look natural in pictures, editing, and sending the completed portfolio in a timely manner. She is the best photographer and I would highly recommend her to anyone!”
